During the recent "Using New Media in the Art Classroom" Workshop , presenter Nettrice Gaskins discussed "machinima" and creative uses of game technology.

I also maintain a list of "art games" at my del.icio.us account. I use some of these with my middle school web design students. I am always asking them to be creative, even in their game play. I want them to use the games, not let the games consume them.
