Massachusetts Art Education Association Annual Spring Conference will be held Friday, May 6, 2005 from 9am-5pm at the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, MA.

This Year's theme is: Hope and Healing Through Art Education

Workshops, presentations and recognition of individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of Art Education in Massachusetts with the 2005 Awards Luncheon.

Thomas Worcester, Exhibition Scholar - It was believed that plague was sent by God as punishment for sins committed, therefore spiritual remedies, prayer, and good works were the only appropriate antidotes. Examine the religious culture of Europe to gain a better understanding of the role that religion, specifically the Catholic Church, played in coping with plague. Free for members; $8 nonmembers.
