Join your colleagues for a series of one-day workshops that will show you how to get the most out of the AEContent Network. The course meets in Massart's Virtual Classroom and includes demonstrations of the site's features and tips for effective internet research and online communication. Additionally, there will be open studio time in the afternoon, where participants will have access to the Massart state-of-the-art computer labs to explore digital art and software.
The first workshop will be held Saturday, March 6 from 10AM-5pm.
Two more workshops will be held this spring Sat, April 3 and Sat May 8th
Not only are these workshops free for BPS and Metro-Boston art teachers, PDPs are available and a stipend will be given to all participants who complete to workshop and virtual element of the course.

Each session begins with a 3 hour lecture/discussion on the AEContent Network and all participants will be signed up with accounts during this time. After a lunch break we continue in the computer labs actively exploring AEContent and digital art software such as Photoshop, iMovie and iPhoto. Participants will be able to ask questions and get advice about integrating some of these tools into their classrooms. The focus will be on inexpensive solutions and general "getting your feet wet" with digital media.
To complete the course and receive the 10 PDPs and stipend, each participant will be expected to spend 3 additional hours using the network, communicating with peers, adding links and a lesson plan idea of their choice and exploring the other features such as the online Galleries and Journals.
Contact Liz Rudnick at the Massachusetts College of Art's Continuing Education department to sign up for the course.
