Updated On Saturday, December 4th, Massart presented a Professional Development Workshop that focused on finding inspiration from outside sources.
What inspires you?
What artists intrigue you?
How can teachers find a personal connection to the artists outlined in the Massachusetts Frameworks?
Following an overview of AEContent and its member features, participants responded to verbal prompts and the work of artists famous and obscure. The various afternoon projects and discussions, lead by Massart professor John Giordano, were designed to spark (or re-affirm) a personal connection to art and artists.

Short Inspiration Trigger
In 30 minutes: (the idea is to go outside for this exercise, but it could be done inside if the weather is bad)
Go find and bring back an object that inspires you.
Draw a quick sketch of a "place" that inspires you.
Write a brief description of a person (a stranger) that intrigues you.
Be fast, respond, don't think. How do these things connect? Do they connect? Can you create something with the object you find?
