Questions to Consider:
1. What tasks and methods do you currently employ to measure a learner’s performance?
2. How do you evaluate what students have learned and are able to do?
3. How do you use assessment to guide planning and link curriculum,
instruction and assessment to improve student performance?
4. How do you provide guidance to parents, supervisors, administration and
the school community in determining that their children (students) are
performing to the expectations of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
and the National Standards for Arts Education?
5. What methods do you use for your students to develop and make judgments
about the assessment of their own work, and how do you get them to apply
the criteria beyond the classroom?
6. What benchmarks do you use to determine where students are/should be at
certain points in their educational process? Do you use an assessment
scale to determine levels of achievement at defined points?
7. Are students given criteria to identify, describe, apply and analyze
their work and to make visual judgments?
8. How do you assist the student in developing and refining criteria for
judging art and apply the criteria to personal choices and strategies in
decision making and art production?
9. Are students expected to use visual thinking to analyze the intent and
assess their work using accompanying commentary that cites the criteria?
10. Are students able to meet the National Content Standard 5, Reflecting
upon and assessing the characteristics and merits of their work and the
works of others in the proficient and advanced levels?Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. Powered by AkoComment 2.0 |
